Why This Site Exists
Virginia provides many official records and search tools, but no single source answers every release question. SWVRJA holds the local booking and release file. VADOC operates the statewide inmate and supervisee locator. Courts preserve the case outcome, and supervision offices document what follows custody. Federal releases use a different system. This site explains which source fits each type of Russell County event and how to ask the responsible office for an existing record.
What Readers Can Find
The material is arranged around release confirmation and record access.
- The home page contains the complete named-person search path and release-record request process.
- Separate pages cover projected release dates, VINELink notices, probation and parole, recent-release time windows, and booking photographs.
- Each SWVRJA facility page gives its verified address, phone, authority-wide lookup route, and release-versus-transfer checks.
- Official links lead to SWVRJA, VADOC, Virginia courts, VINE, BOP, ICE, and public-record statutes where each source applies.
Limits of This Resource
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to a Virginia sheriff, jail, corrections department, court, or other government body.
- We cannot release, hold, or move any person in custody.
- We cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds for a visitor.
- We do not give legal advice.
- We cannot promise that an address, phone, fee, or public display has not changed.
Only the office that created the record can confirm custody, charges, or release and provide an official copy.
Search Partner Disclosure
Some pages contain search boxes supplied by outside providers. Those providers set their own prices and control their own results. If a visitor follows a tool into a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee that helps keep its reference pages free. We do not set the partner’s charges or decide what its search returns.
